Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
maybe i'm entering my after having a bunch of bad panic attacks during the week i decided to seriously take it easy this weekend. rented the entire series (but so utterly tragic - as angela chase would say - it was cancelled after the first season) of my-so called life and holed myself up in my house with tammy. refrained from going out, which is really difficult to do for me. but i feel better for it.

my room is coming together. i have my bike hanging over my bead - which just seems so cool, i don't know why. i'm hoping the hooks, screwed into the ceiling hold otherwise... i'm going to go pick up some seeds and soil next weekend and get a container garden going on my deck. considering tomatoes and zucchini in larger corner planters, with some basil, rosemary, and cilantro growing in the ledge planters. that'll make some yum pasta sauces/salsa/pesto come september. :)

nesting is lovely. i have lived here for 20 months here. from 16 till 26 i moved 14 times. i am maybe, just maybe starting to feel secure in this messy world.

so, i guess my gf won a rock band>rock band tournament at the union square virgin megastore and got a $500 gift card! and MSCL was one of the things we bought.

MSCL is one of the first tee-vee-on-dee-vee-dee series that i've ever had that i didn't rip through in a weekend or something -- we're very moderately going through it and watching one or two episodes at a time a couple days a week. what i really forgot about it is how after-school-special-y it is! the substitute teacher comes in and shakes things up! jordan can't read! ray ann overdoses on... ecstasy!? ricky's parents beat him up! THE GHOST OF HOMELESS CHRISTMAS PAST COULD BE ME, MOM.

That last sentence really strikes home. I have moved every year for the last 7 years or so. I haven't yet lived in the same place for more than 12 months since I was in highschool.

I think sometimes I really need a stake somewhere that I can ground myself to. When everything threatens to fall apart it feels nice to stick myself in my room and know that something will be constant. I don't really get that feeling from many things these days.

Yay to starting to feel secure! & hopefully to having less anxiety attacks in the future. As someone with an anxiety disorder, I can sympathize. Fortunately I haven't had an anxiety attack in a year or so.

Nevertheless, it's good that you still do the things that make you feel anxious. I can't say that I do all of the things that make me nervous on a regular basis or at all...
